Therapy with Me.

Areas of Expertise
As an Integrative Counselling Psychologist, I take a holistic approach that considers your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. I draw from a wide range of evidence-based psychological therapies to create a personalised experience, designed to meet your unique needs and goals.
Below are some of the core therapeutic approaches I may integrate into our work together:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and bodily sensations are interconnected. Rather than focusing on the past, CBT addresses current difficulties and equips you with practical tools to improve your wellbeing in the here and now.
By identifying and challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, CBT can help you respond to life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity. It’s particularly effective for anxiety, depression, stress, phobias, obsessions, and eating disorders.
Existential Therapy
Existential therapy explores life’s deeper questions — such as freedom, isolation, meaninglessness, and mortality — and how these themes influence emotional distress. It encourages you to reflect on your values, choices, and personal responsibility in shaping a meaningful life.
Together, we’ll gently explore your inner world and support you in facing uncertainty, finding your own direction, and navigating life’s challenges with greater authenticity and self-awareness.
Humanistic Therapy
This approach focuses on the whole person and your capacity for personal growth. It encourages self-reflection, emotional awareness, and a deeper connection with your values. Rather than solely addressing symptoms, Humanistic Therapy supports your journey towards self-acceptance, inner strength, and fulfilling your potential.
Person-Centred Therapy
Person-Centred Therapy is based on the belief that every person has an innate tendency to grow when met with empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. In a warm, non-judgmental environment, you’ll be supported to explore your feelings and make changes at your own pace.
This gentle approach can help you build self-confidence, accept difficult emotions, and reconnect with your sense of self.
Phenomenological Therapy
The phenomenological approach focuses on your lived experience — how you interpret and give meaning to the world around you. Rather than analysing events objectively, therapy centres on how you perceive and respond to them.
By deepening awareness of your perspective, we can work together to uncover more constructive ways of thinking, relating, and making sense of your experiences.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Rooted in Psychoanalytic theory, Psychodynamic Therapy looks at how unconscious patterns and early relationships influence your current behaviours and emotional difficulties. It’s especially helpful in understanding issues such as attachment wounds, relationship struggles, repeated patterns, and self-esteem concerns.
In a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, we may explore your past, significant relationships, and unresolved feelings — using tools such as free association, interpretation, and working with transference (when old relational dynamics are re-experienced in therapy).
Bringing It All Together
Each of these therapeutic modalities offers something unique, and I draw from them thoughtfully to support your needs at each stage of the journey. Whether you're looking for short-term support or deeper self-exploration, therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in empathy and respect.
