About Me.

I’m a Chartered Counselling Psychologist (CPsychol), accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS: 347776), and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC: PYL045988). I’m also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP: 00992900), and I work in line with the ethical codes set out by all three professional bodies.

My academic background includes a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, alongside specialist training in existential, cognitive behavioural (CBT), humanistic, psychodynamic, and psychoanalytic approaches. I also hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology, and I’m part of the BPS Division of Counselling Psychology (DCoP).

Experience

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds — each with their own story, struggles, and hopes for change. I offer therapy in-person in Golders Green and online UK-wide, creating a supportive space for individuals facing anxiety, low mood, grief, self-esteem and relationship struggles, as well as difficulties around food and eating.

At the heart of my work is connection. I truly believe that being met with warmth, understanding, and compassion can be life-changing — especially during those times when you feel stuck, lost, or overwhelmed. My aim is to offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard.

Before starting my private practice, I worked with organisations like Headstrong Counselling and the DAWN Charitable Trust, offering both short- and long-term therapy. I supported people through many different experiences — including childhood trauma, emotional neglect, domestic abuse, divorce, and long-standing feelings of emptiness or disconnection.

I’ve also worked with children in schools, supporting those aged 7–14 through early mental health difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, physical symptoms of stress, and social withdrawal. I used a mix of approaches tailored to each child’s needs — including CBT, solution-focused work, play therapy, attachment-based support, and resilience-building tools.

In my work with adults, I’ve supported people facing a wide range of experiences — from borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia to neurodivergent ways of being, including autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy. I always approach my work with deep care and respect for each person’s unique perspective and inner world.

My academic background has shaped much of how I work. I’ve always been curious about how people make sense of themselves and their experiences. My earlier research explored how emotional wellbeing programmes were experienced in schools. Later, I looked into how young people experienced weight management interventions. My doctoral research focused on how women with overweight or obesity made sense of their self-concept — exploring themes like identity, coping, and shame.
